Dr. Santoro is a licensed psychologist in private practice in Ellicott City. Additionally, she is a State and Nationally Certified School Psychologist. Prior to opening her private practice, she worked in hospital settings as well as in public, private, and charter schools. Dr. Santoro also has taught and provided field supervision to graduate students from several universities. In her private practice, she is a cognitive-behavioral therapist and provides therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. She uses a strengths-based perspective to guide clients to resiliency. Additionally, Dr. Santoro administers psychological and educational assessments to children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Santoro also completes Court-ordered psychological and custody evaluations and provides expert witness testimony. She has been qualified as an expert in 8 jurisdictions in the State of Maryland and 1 jurisdiction in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Dr. Santoro has been interviewed regarding psychological and forensic matters on the television shows, “Killer Kids,” “Blood Relatives,” and “Reasonable Doubt.”

Kerri-Jean Wheeler, M.A., C.A.S., N.C.S.P.

Kerri-Jean Wheeler is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist and Registered Psychology Associate in Maryland. Mrs. Wheeler has worked as a school psychologist in Baltimore, Maryland since 2011. She has been recognized as an outstanding practitioner in school psychology at both the local and state levels for her work in Baltimore City. Mrs. Wheeler also has been recognized by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) as a leader in advocacy for children with disabilities and their families. Mrs. Wheeler has a certification in Collaborative Special Education Law and Process from Drexel University. She uses her years of experience working in special education and knowledge of educational law to assist families in advocating for appropriate educational support and services in schools. Mrs. Wheeler specializes in child and adolescent psychoeducational evaluations, child and adolescent counseling services, and parent coaching for behavioral challenges. Her professional interests include clinical assessment and development of intervention protocols for children, adolescents, and young adults with ADHD, executive dysfunction, and specific learning disabilities. Mrs. Wheeler is passionate about supporting families navigating the complex world of special education through educational consultation and non-attorney advocacy services. As a registered psychology associate, Kerri-Jean Wheeler practices under the supervision of Maryland Licensed Psychologist Dr. Gina Santoro.

Carol A. McKissick, MBA, MS, LCPC

Carol A. McKissick is a Maryland Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. Carol passed the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and has attained Level 2 training in Gottman Method Couples Counseling. Her experience includes adult individual and group counseling in grief, depression, addiction, anxiety, anger management, marital, family and workplace conflict. Before graduating with her degree in Applied Psychology, Carol worked in scientific research as a microbiologist and went on to earn her MBA when new leadership opportunities arose at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She has worked for the University for 28 years, most recently supporting her colleagues by working part time at the Employee Assistance Program. Carol is theoretically a solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral existentialist.
